Band Camp

Band camp has begun! Our schedule this week is 8:30am-5:00pm.
Next week we will be meeting from 1-5:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Lunch is $5, or you can bring your own, but remeber that the campus is closed, and students can not leave the campus to buy food.

Please remeber to continue selling pizza cards. 50% of what you make will be applied to your band donations! Sell 12 or more cards and recieve a free pizza card and a t-shirt designed by us!

GRAMMY Presentation Concert

May 14th, 2009 at 7:00pm marks Miami Coral Park SHS Grammy Presentation Concert in our beautifully renovated Coral Park Auditorium. Admission is $5, ticket sales will begin at 6:00pm. Please invite all of your friends and family to this unique concert.

CP Jazz Band at the "Straight Ahead" with Sonny Rollins Concert

This weekend marks a special event for our Jazz Band members. They will be attending a Behind-the-Scenes, Question & Answer session and Concert with Sonny Rollins and his band. All costs are being covered by The Jazz Roots - A Larry Rosen Jazz Series at the Arsht Center. We will be departing CP at 3pm, tickets are limited to jazz band students.

Color Guard Try-Outs

Any and all eligible high school students are welcome to try out the Band of Gold's Color Guard squad on April 15, 17 & 20 from 3:30-5pm. Bring comfortable work-out clothing and a great attitude. Meet in the band room.

CP Awarded a 2009 Grammy in the Schools Enterprise Award

Coral Park has been selected as 1 of 14 schools nationwide to recieve the coveted "GRAMMY® Signature Schools" status for the 2009-2010 school year. Our school was the only one selected in the state of Florida this year.

2009 Miami Dade College Honor Band

2009 South Florida Honor Band

Two of our very own Band of Gold students have been selected to participate in this year's South Florida Honor Band hosted by the University of Miami Frost School of Music. These students will be rehearsing and putting on a concert from February 13-14. The students selected were:

Grammy in the Schools

Coral Park has been choosen by the Grammy Foundation as a "Grammy in the Schools" Enterprise Award Finalist. This award can potentially bring our music program $5,000 to be used towards improving our program. The award winners will be announced in March of 2009.
